Planning Board Meeting Agenda— December 17, 2024

The agenda for the Planning Board meeting of December 17, 2024 is now available on line. The meeting begins at 6PM at Town Hall.

The sole action item on the agenda is a proposal to conditionally rezone 31.5 acres along River Road. The request is for 127 single-family attached townhome units and a combined 30,000 square feet of commercial space.

The proposal involves two parcels.

One parcel (21.6 acres) is zoned General Commercial Business District and the other parcel (9.9 acres) is currently designated as Proposed Commercial on the Mallory Creek Plantation Master Plan. The proposal being requested would reduce the amount of commercially planned/zoned property in the Town of Leland.

According to the Town website there are 17,831 residential units that have been either approved, under review and/or under construction.

This matter regardless of the recommendation of the Planning Board will go to the Town Council for final review and decision.
